Oh Hello There!

Wow.  It has been way too long since my last posting.  Summer was a very hectic time for me this year.  We didn't do much family wise because Hubby and I were always working.  But in rolls Autumn and things are once again hectic, but I love the hectic days of Autumn.  We did a ghost walk through a Cemetary here in Akron that is over 200 years old.  From what we saw at night, I am eager to see this beauty during the day time.  We took quite a few pictures.  On Sunday of that same week we went to a local farm for some pumpkin and gourd picking and a bit of fun in their 3 acre corn maze.  This year it was the headless horseman.

Missing

Such a fitting title for where I have been of late.  I have a lot on my plate at the moment and am trying desperately to get back into the blogging.  I am thinking of starting my blog over from scratch and making it a necessity to blog at least 2-3 times a week.  I shall keep everyone posted on where I am blogging at as soon as I can determine a location.  Wix is looking rather inviting and I have already used it, but want to start over from scratch there as well.  I will post the address as soon as I decide where I shall be.

Travel Smashbook

My 422 pictures from the Florida Vacation arrived today and it was the kick in the butt I needed to do something with the cover of my Smashbook.  Spent two hours in my craft area planning and changing my mind etc. till I came up with the final product.

Florida 2015 Project Life

Well my trip to Florida has come and gone and it was an amazing adventure with my friends.  We managed to do a lot of things in a weeks time and I enjoyed every minute of it.  I decided to print most of my photos, but I also am doing the Project Life App from Becky Higgins so that I can make a printed book of it.  My photos are to be here on Tuesday so hopefully my Smashbook can be started.  Here are a few pages that I have done  using the Project Life App.

Kit and Clowder

Just an hour or so ago Alyce released her newest colouring tutorial class.  Perfecting Pencils.... I have the entire Spectrum Noir Pencil collection as well as quite a few of the Prismacolour pencils and am eagerly awaiting some technique training.  Well I took the plunge, tapped into my vacation fund as the Aussie Dollar is sitting really low and signed up for the class.! I am currently waiting for my class invite so I can settle down on my couch and begin reading up and starting the class.  This is the one class I am planning to bust my butt and work on in between working, trip packing/planning, and making Buckeyes to take to Florida with me.  I encourage anyone who wants to take their colouring to the next level to hop on over to www.kitanclowder.ning.com and sign up for one of Alyce's classes.  I have the clothing class and am enjoying every step of the journey.

Travel journal and smash book.

I have been in Pinterest for the past few days looking for ideas for a way to document the once in a lifetime trip I have coming up in a little over a month.  There are just way too many cute ideas so I decided in a smash book.  Went to Michael's today looking for a kit but all they had where the binders.  Well what the hell... I decided to go for it and figured that between my Scrapbooking stash that rarely gets used, memoriabilia and various other bits and bobbles I could create my own. So tonight I got the bug to start putting pages in it.  I went through my stash of paper and scraps and using a three hole punch and my paper cutter I put together quite a few pages.  Mind you now they are blank.  Just plain card stock but that is the beauty of creativity.  You can do whatever you want.  Now looking at it you will see that I have no colour scheme in mind.  The reason for this is that I am going to Florida. We are planning a wide variety of fun things to do among which  are movies, Universal Studios, black light mini golf, laser tag, and the beach.  So with that in mind I decided in a variety of colours and textures.
The empty undecorated smash book by K&Company.

Some of the pages using scraps of cardstock from my stash.

I also bought a little travel journal so that I can record my memories while I am on vacation.  I will use the pages in my smash book when I return home

My plans are to use my Silhouette digital craft cutter along with pieces of Project Life and a little help from the Rhonna Design App and create a book that I will enjoy looking at for years to come.

Orlando Vacation.

In about five weeks I will be climbing into a car with my BFF and taking a 16 hour road trip from Ohio to Florida.  So much is happening while we are there that I wanted to remember it all.  I have a journal that is holding all of my trip information of the ore planning variety.  I am going to take that with me and document our everyday adventures with our friends.  When I get home I want to find a nice journal and create a travel journal documenting our adventures.  I have seen so many gorgeous designs on Pinterest that I don't even know where to begin.  I can't wait to share this with everyone here in my blog when it it complete.!

Happy New Year!

It is hard for me to believe that 2014 has ended and a new year has begun.  2014 held a lot of changes for me.  I left a store that I had been at for almost 13 years to go to a new store.  Then that store closed in December and a whole new world opened for me at the new store that was just built.  More family time as well this fall.  We spent several days hiking the beautiful trails around our home in Merriman Valley.  I was in my element as fall is the most loveliest of times of year.  I am so blessed to live in such a beautiful area.  My BFF transferred to my new store as well so I have a familiar face keeping me company.  With 2015 here a whole new world opens up around me.  My BFF is moving into my apartment complex and is getting a new roommate.  In March him and I are taking a much needed road trip south to the beautiful and warm state of Florida to spend a week with our online gaming friends. Allie is heading to Washington DC in May with her 8th grade class.  It will be the first time she is away from me with someone other then family.  I'm nervous and scared but at the same time so proud of her that she wants to take this trip.  With the new year I am going to focus more on documenting the life of my family again.  I am really going to buckle down and do a photo a day and get my Project Life pages done each week. So in honour of my resolution to get this done this year I have managed to put together the 2015 title page.
