First cards.

I am just amazed at the beauty of the Spectrum Noir markers.  I have purchased the light and pastel 24 pack sets and I currently have 8 of the 12 6 pack sets.  There are 2 more 6 pack sets en route to my home and will be here later next week.  So I have taken the 96 colours that I have and begun to create... The following cards are the end results of my careful colouring...

Thank you for stopping by.

Taking my card making a step further...

I have been eyeing the Copic brand markers for card making for over a year.  I have about 6 of them but at 6.00 each the collection is out of my price range, and for a newbie in stamp colouring with markers I didn't see a reason to spend the money.  Well I have seen the Specteum Noir 6 pack sets at my local Pat Catans for about 10.00 a pack.  There are 168 total colours and the sets of 6 basic colours is all one really needs to get started.  Well today I bought 8 sets and brought them home to play with... WOW!! I love love love colouring with them.  Mind you now I am nowhere near being good, but they make it easy to colour with and actually make me somewhat look good.  So tonight after sorting, cataloging, etc I sat down at my craft table and started to play.  Let me tell you... They are a joy to work with and even my attempts look rather good.
This was my first real attempt after I practiced hair colouring shades etc.
This was my second attempt.  The colours are just gorgeous.  Tomorrow I am going to get a couple of the 24 ok sets that they have to fill in some of the colour shade gaps.

Christmas Cards 2013

I've been so far behind on my cards.  Lacking the creative magic I normally have this time of year does not help.  I did manage to get two cards creates today. That gives me a total of 4 done I think.

Ho Ho Ho!

Just a few Christmas cards that I have finished so far. I am a bit behind as I have had a lot on my plate and really not enough creative spark either.

Get Well

A close friend of the family was hit by a car Tuesday night while riding home on his bike.  He is just 16 and fighting for his life.  Made this card to take to the family to stick in his hospital room.

Harvesting Memories Blog Hop

Falling leaves, pumpkins, warm apple cider... These are a few of my favorite things about Fall.  Every year I spend the days looking forward to this most wonderful time of the year.  I'm a fall girl by birth as well as by heart.  I can't imagine a season more beautiful as the one Mother Nature covers in golds and reds... So join a wonderful bunch of ladies on their interpretations of what embodies Fall to them.   If you came here by way of Connie's House then you are headed down the right country lane. If not please start at Lisa's House for a cup of cider and her amazing project.  When you have had your fill of warm pumpkin pie and hot cocoa please head on down the leaf covered lane to Deb's House.  Thank you for stopping by!

My project for this hop is a decorative tag.  The materials are a modge podge of scraps and pieces and loose embellishments that I had laying about my craft area.

Final Halloween project 2013

I spent the day with an old friend whom I haven't seen for more than 15 minutes at a time lately.  We had a blast having lunch at Taco Bell before hitting up the area craft stores for Halloween savings.  I learned about some of her decorations.  She apparently has some purple and black witch boots and she bought lead bunches to go with them.  I came home and using my new spiders and some glitter and glue I created this for her to use.

Unboolievable Blog Hop Day Two.

Something Wicked This Way Comes....
Halloween and Autumn have always been my favorite time of year. The crafting possibilities are endless.  I can sit and create day after day with all of the ideas in my head for Holiday decorations.  This year I stumbled across some lovely witch's hats that were just screaming for attention.  With the help of a few accessories my Witch's Hats were born.  Some I gave away while others I kept. You should have flown in by way of Jessica.... If not please start at the beginning with the very talented Lisa...

Thank you for flying by and having a look around.. Please head on over to see Elecia.. She has some amazing treats for you as well.

Wicked Once Again.

So I of course ran into the craft store last week to see if they had any of those adorable witch hats left.  I had a great time making mine, and had an idea for another.  Low and behold.... I walked out the door with 4 more.  Various sizes and shapes.  I worked in a small one and fell in love with it.  I decided to send it to a friend along with a Halloween hand made card. I hope she likes it.

Wicked

So I found this Paper Mache Witch Hat at Pat Catan's Craft Center today and decided... Well I am a crafter after all and it was just so darn tempting... and it was calling my name and I just had to have it.... Ok I didn't really but as soon as I saw it my mind started racing and my mouth started to salivate... Ok.. Not really but you ladies know exactly what happens when you see something that is just screaming to be altered.  It demanded to go home with me.. Mind you now I went in there with the sole purpose of buying adhesive squares so I could finish Arianna's birthday card. I walked out with this beauty and some paper as well as embellishments and what nots and of course I couldn't work on Arianna's birthday card at all because this thing was just shrieking at me.  I mean it was so loud and ear piercing that there was nothing else I could do but obey it's call.... I'm not proud of myself for ignoring my grand daughter's card, but I just could not help it.

Thank you for stopping by... Hope to see you again soon!
Brightest Blessings.

Creative Rut

There are times when the thought of going to my scraproom to work on cards, gifts, or blog hop projects terrifies me.  It's those times that I have no creative spark... Right now I am going through that and I can't afford to.. I have birthday cards, blog hop projects, and even home décor projects for myself that I want to get done... So.. tomorrow after I do my early morning shopping which I have every intention of doing, I am headed up to my creative space and spend the day there trying to get something accomplished....
